Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has received numerous awards for her works. She has been a vocal advocate for human rights for animals. She has been acclaimed for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). New York was her home and she grew up in an artistic environment. Her first job was as a photography assistant and after that she moved on to modeling and acting. In her first two films, she was recognized and was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was an enormous success that earned her fame worldwide and also an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. After only three movies MacGraw was named the most successful female in box office history. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were made in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw was married three times.
